I gave it this title because I was reflecting (pun intended) on how when one side of a fight wins, the other loses and vis versa. Another dichotomy of life. To survive is to kill. To win is to make someone a loser. I put myself on the side of ultimate truth, no matter how hard that pill is to swallow. A good leader chooses a side wisely and then sticks with it... unless he is then proven wrong. Sometimes you have to admit defeat and retreat, back into learning, to fight another day. Sometimes it is a battle within ourselves that we are fighting. Sometimes it’s hard to tell who’s winning. Me or the doppelgänger?
There is something highly philosophical, about this idea of painting a being faced with a strange mirror version of their own self. How would we react to knowing our true nature? What if you could see yourself through the eyes of God?
A must have for any art collector with a penchant for geometry and nature!
